I have been hoping for some evening lightning for some time. Last night we had some, but it was to the south of us. I managed to get a few bolts.
tonight’s thunderstorm was one of those where you can’t NOT get an image with lightning in it.
This storm is causing major havoc in the Waldo Canyon Fire burn scar. Here are some lighting shots as it moved west across the city.

we got to see tonight’s storm from both Cheyenne Mt. State Park, and our back yard. LOTS of lightning.
After a nice kid free dinner with the wife, we took the dogs for a walk at Taylor’s school. As the storm moved in, we got a nice double rainbow.
