This morning when I left the house I noticed two things, the beautiful full moon and a hot air balloon. My plan was to stop along the way to work and get a good shot of the moon as it set behind the mountain. The hot air balloon headed south at a pretty good pace, so I quickly turned into a parking lot an jumped out of the car.
I got a call from a good friend letting me know the moon was very pretty tonight. I knew I could not get out east fast enough so I shot it from my neighborhood. I ran outside with my tripod, my 7D, my 500mm lens, and no shoes. Of course I did not like the view from right out front my house, or one door down, or two doors down, or three doors down. Moral of the story, these socks are shot.
Super moon tonight. tried a few on the way home, and then got a couple more once it cleared the clouds.
no northern lights so far, but there is a beautiful full moon.
This morning I caught the full moon as it set. Pikes Peak was the usual sunrise pink, so the colors looked great.
We went out east a bit tonight to catch the moonrise. For the locals, we were on the other side of Banning Lewis Ranch of off 24.
